I have 4 hens sitting on eggs at the moment, and one hatched this afternoon. My problem is that when I got home, the chick was out in the open with no momma hen seeming interested in it. Has the chick been rejected or can I sneak it back in during the night? I have all the equipment to raise the chick but I really want it to be with the rest when they hatch. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I would try sneaking it under her tonight. Plan on checking early in the morning to see if it worked!
Good Luck!

I'd just leave it. It's normal for a momma hen to have an early chick hatch and run around a little while she sets on the nest for the next day or two to allow everyone a chance to hatch. The chick should know who to go back to.
