My previous broody mommy was not so clever but this one is such a mommy. She calls her baby and babies her baby and cleans it (picks all the bits of dirt off with her beak) and chooses what she thinks are the best bits of the food for it and finds bugs and worms for baby and shows it how to catch and eat them. And baby does. This little thing chases bugs at only just a week old and tries to sand bath and enjoys lying in the sun for short periods before rushing off to climb under mommy. Getting feathers already.
