montgomery county animal tradin' days - Oct 7th, sunday

I got a buff polish roo this past weekend to go with my buff polish hen. Maybe in the coming months we could swap eggs or something?

I may look into the BB Reds. I have my little guy that's our pet, and I've gotten him a couple of pullets before, but something has always happened to them.

hey girlie~! nice to have finally met you. and i'm glad you were able to get a gf for your little bbred. i ended up taking home about 10 birds and also ended up buying 10 roosters!

they're going to the processor today.

Great to meet you too!

I got my Blue Slate tom a mate, bought a pair of Rio Grand turkeys, and little Buddy is happy with is new girls. I'm very proud of myself that I managed to hang on to most of what I earned. Being at a sale like that is tough!! LOL

I saw pigeons there I had never seen before, and saw some birds that I really wanted, but I haven't got the room for at the moment. Did you see that HUGE roo down past me by that guy you and I were talking about?

He was nearly twice as big as my Jerseys!! I thought about getting him, but he'd have probably eaten my other roos as a snack!

no, i didn't see him. i actually didn't get to walk around at all but 30 min and that was around 8am so everyone hadn't settled in yet.

but like you, i saw birds i'd never seen before. those tiny diamond doves, wow, they are small. and the button quails are even tinier. it's definitely neat to go to those shows.

i'm hoping beaumont will have people selling birds. i'm taking my earnings over there to purchase new stock.
