Ways to save money.....And water from your ducks
big_smile.png

So, I have a medium-sized flock of ducks, chickens and turkeys, I also have had a couple of water bowls along with a chicken
waterer that needs to be retired

After 4 years of service.
I bought a 4-pack of chicken watering nipples that sounded like a good idea, along with my chicken fount....Now I need to know.....
Instead of fixing the nipples to the bottom of the waterer, could I fix them onto the sides of the bucket?
Any ideas on the best waterer without spending like $50 on one fount?
Thank you!

There are two kinds of nipples...
Vertical Nipples, which must be installed in the bottom of water vessel.
Horizontal Nipples, which must be installed in the sides of water vessel.

I far prefer the HN's for several reasons:
Much better in my frigid cold climate.
Less dripping due to superior valve design.
Can set vessel down anywhere.

Not sure they will work with turkeys, but probably....
.....ducks can drink from them but still need water deep enough to clean their nares(nostrils).
