With the advent of COVID-19 and the subsequent shelter in place requirements, is there any chance that Virginia Beach will allow backyard chickens? If not, I'm thinking about going rogue!

lol my parents live in VB and I think their neighbors would probably have a heart attack if they messed up their perfectly manicured lawn for the sake of some eggs that you could just buy at the grocery store. (if you can't tell, I'm being facetious :D)

You could try it and just have a back up plan on who will take them for you if someone complains, but I would say probably don't try it. It's a big investment for the possibility of having to just give it all away if one person says something. It might be difficult to do right now, but maybe try and strike up a relationship with someone in suffolk or hickory that's raising eggs via facebook groups or craigslist or just drive around looking for "eggs for sale" signs. I'm sure there are people around the outskirts of hampton roads that are raising good backyard eggs and have some to sell.
