May 24th they ship and I guess they should arrive the 25th or 26th. IDK for sure, supposedly the wife of the best good friend of my DH (sounds like a country song I know) is going to pick them up when the post office calls...of course she vetoed his attempts at chicken ownership all together (which is why they shall be 'boarding' here)...so I get the feeling I may end up getting a call from her to go get them when they do arrive...
And the "chick support" came! In the form of a fence charger! How cool is that? We already run electric fence for the horses...but the chickens are separate and much closer to the house....and since this one was free....it just makes it easier to start a new one then mess with the old fence which is finally working right!
So...here we go again...part of me can't believe I told the boys yes...part of me is starting to get excited! 15 more! Of course...I get the feeling out of our original 11 chicks the roo count is at 4 positives...and IDK about 4 ...maybe one...maybe even 2....but 4? I dunno...we shall cross that bridge when we get there! (my sister said with my luck it will be the other way around 4 hens and 7 roos - so no one goes til they crow that's for sure!)
Now we just have to finish the coop, run the fence to keep Devil Dog out, and stop the addiction that this is becoming! Just had to share...mostly have city friends, and they just don't get it!
