Yesterday on the way home from my Grandsons birthday party I picked up a 9 piece nuggets with dippin sauce. Soon, they will be added to the flock of EE. I picked up 3 RIR, 3 golden laced wydonettes, and 3 speckled sussexs, dug out my tub and supplies from the garden shed ( I swore I wasnt going to raise any more from chicks ) but I was afraid to buy full grown RIRs from a farmer down the road not knowing the history and they free range where I keep mine penned, figured they may be more aggressive or not et along well in a pen. So, here I am.

I love your feeder. Did you make it? If so what did you use for the tiny ports?
Yes I made it with a large Clausen pickle jar. I cut a slit at the lower section and then a slit up at each ends of the main slit. Then I push the flap inwards about 45 degrees and used packing tape to seal off the triangular openings of the sides on the inside to keep the feed in. it works just like a large port feeder. It is screwed to a board so they cant knock it over as they grow.

opps sorry that was the old feeder I mentioned above... This one was a jug I purchased at walmart for about $4. I used the tiny solo shot cups to make the ports just like the big ones you buy for buckets ( the thread is posted here somethere ) used a hole saw and super glued the cups in after I cut the section out to access feed.

This is genius. Thank you, and thanks for the correction, I was a bit confused after the first message cause it looked so perfect.. I thought you were really good at taping or something.

I got up the next day at 6am and all the chicks were huddled and quiet. Went back out at 10am and one was dead? Not sure what happened but the store replaced it ( but gave me the wrong one, gave me a $3 sussex instead of an $8 Wynodette... ) so Im a little upset with that but not worth another 30 minute drive. But 3 days now and all are doing well.
