Moron bought wrong feed AGAIN! (Hint, it's me...)

Well...First I got layer feed when my hens weren't laying. Then I asked for grower feed, at the feed store and they gave me Nutrena starter/grower. I didn't read the label until I got home, so didn't know it's for chickens up to 6 wks old. Mine are 4-6 mos old. Will this hurt them? Should I mix it with layer?!

THANK YOU!!! This is like having a newborn! I didn't know I would be such a worry wart.

At least they don't keep me up at night.

FWIW, the 6 month old hens are REALLY diggin it. Mawing down like there's no tomorrow!

Starter/Grower is exactly what you should be feeding them, until they start laying. If they're 4-6 months old, then hopefully that will be very soon!

Thanks! I wonder why the bag says until 6 wks??? Strange. Maybe they figure the more you switch, the more feed you'll toss?

You can feed Starter/Grower until you switch over to the Layer. No problem.
