Can't help with the sexing, but those are some great looking muscovy's. I am normally not a fan, but I have mostly only seen the normal ones at local ponds. If you ever decide to sell a few hatching eggs please put me on the list.

Not sure either. They don't look like any muscovey I have seen before and I have muscoveys. Muscoveys boys are always way bigger than the girls.

Hi Marko, welcome to BYC!!

Beautiful Muscovies! I am raising two ducklings (of five) that are probably going to be white with the black caps like that. At least, I hope so.

Anyway, I agree, the two on the left are drakes, the other three are hens. If you look closely, the caruncles (the red on their faces) are more prominent on the two on the left. If they are all the same age (how old are they, anyway?), then the ones with more red are males. Plus, if they are bigger, than they are males. It's much easier to tell at this age. I am still trying to guess with mine, as they are only five weeks old.

Pretty ducks!!

Yes, the more prominent caruncling on the faces of the leftmost two points to 'drake'. Cute birds, might I add!

Muscovy drakes at times take a real long time to outgrow the hens noticeably; this all depends on genetic inheritance, it seems to me. Some baby males become obviously larger than their sisters, yet other drakelets take way longer to become obviously larger than ducklets.

Funny, these flexible 'rules' of nature

Would be nice to know their age, btw........... I am guessing 8 - 12 weeks.
