Mosquito foggers?

Starting to be mosquito season. We get them really bad. We have a small creek or ditch that runs through our property. Part of the back field is like a swamp. And it is Michigan. Need I say more. Anyways we usually fog whole yard once a week. That only keeps them down some. But now we will have chickens. Can we still fog at night after we close chickens in for the night or not at all?

it depends on what chemical you use. some are strong enough to kill cat! others are pet safe

We use a propane fogger with the Black Flag yard fogger product. I am not sure of the actual ingredient.

I suggest you call your county extension agent on Monday and get their ideas. They have the contacts to get you the right information about the fogger and may have other ideas for mosquito control.

For indoors, this is easy
No-pest strips containing dichlorovos

Helps with all kinds of pests (6-legged and more), do not hang over food/water and keep up out of the way of chickens or place in mesh cage so they can't peck.
