Mosquitos?!!!

My pullet Peggy sue has started to have these little white dots on her comb an waddles... They swell up an scab over like a mosquito bite... Here's a pic-

Is there a way to stop this or do I just let her get bite by Mosquitos?

are you sure she isnt being pecked at by the other Hens/Rooster?

She's not being pecked... She is the lead hen an we have no roosters

Hmm....well maybe you have some horrible mosquitos LOl!. Good luck on finding the answer cause I havent got a clue.

Looks like she maybe has fowl pox. Mosquito's do not have this virus but they carry it from chicken to chicken by biting them. It's not serious unless they get the sores in their months or throat which is usually not the case. She should be fine but your other chickens can get it too. This can sometime make them a little moody. You can find out more about fowl pox or avian pox on this site using the search.
