Individuals who've invested time with their birds, breeding for the reasons above, have every right to charge what they feel is right for their stock. If they have problems selling at that price, they may lower it. However, as long as they are able to get what they ask they will still charge the same price.

Yeah it seems there are high prices in every species of animal. When i started in goats I almost fainted when i heard about those 5k-10k goats and now I'd pay that much for a goat before I did for a car LOL I just hd a $3700 buck here that I hauled for a friend, already have some of their unborn kids sold for $800+ I guess any addiction turns us looney huh? LOL
I understand how much effort, time, emotion, money etc breeders put into their chickens, I'm still shocked though LOL
