Mother hens and newcomer chicks?

I'll make this as simple as I can.

3 Japanese hens with chicks in 3 stages. Tiny-only a few weeks old. Medium-a little older but a bit of baby coloring still. Pullets-teens and almost adult size.


I wanted to know if I could add 4-5 unrelated Tiny chicks to this flock. The newbies are white Silkies, btw.

Can I add them at night right away and they will be fine?

Should I separate them in the coop with no run for a week or so, then let them with the Japs?

I have NO idea what to do. Please help!

The best way to integrate is when everyone is an adult.

It is possible the "mother" will accept the smallest chicks as hers to mother. You just have to try and see what happens.
