We had three different birds go broody about 3-4 weeks ago. Since then we have found 2 chicks dead in the coop that looked like they had just hatched. Today I found one that was still alive but barely. We rushed her inside got her under a heat lamp and I dabbed a little warm sugar water on her beak, which she lapped at pretty well. She is still wet from the egg and can not muster much more than so soft chirps....I am guessing she just hatched. What else can we do?
