I have a 9 month cinnamon queen who started heavily molting a couple weeks ago. She lost all the feathers around her neck/face and quite a bit everywhere else.
They have 18% protein feed and we have been feeding her and the flock meal worms, meat scrapes, and eggs for extra protein in moderation. She hasn’t laid since she started molting but seems to eat, drink, and free range as normal. I did notice she is a lot more timid than before the molt.
She recently started retracting her neck and walking backwards.... I’ve read this could be wry neck or a vitamin deficiency. But I’m curious if this could have been caused from molting?
It’s our first flock & our first molt so any help is appreciated!
