Moved the chicks to the coop

I moved my 5 chicks to the coop with my Isa Red hen. She did so well with them. No squabbling. She is showing them what it means to be a chicken. I do miss the happy peeping in the house. I will check on them early morning.

How old are your chicks? I put my chicks outside from day one. I have a brooder I put them in. Because of dust and dogs that will kill, I never have chicks inside the house! We need to see some photos of your little flock! Please???

Where are you that you haven't put those chicks outside and they are already 2 months old??????? Mine were outside the day after they hatched! When I'm not using the brooder for chicks I use it as an isolation chamber! Ha!

I'm in Michigan. We were expecting snow just a couple days ago. It's been non stop crazy winds and the rain won't let up.

It's either keep them in longer and save on electricity, or run heat for them to be outside.

Yup! Crappy weather up till Friday! I'm going to try and get mine out too.

They were 4 weeks old. The weather in Pa was unsettled down below freezing a couple of night. They love out with the hen.

I will try and get pictures upload. I think they are cute. My sister is getting 8 peeps and I will get 2 more. She will raise them out. I want to get 2 Brahmas or at least 1 and the other and a potluck one.
