Hello lovely chicken owners!
This is kinda long but I need some advice, I have two broody hens sitting on eggs and yesterday one of the eggs in my incubator hatched. She's the smallest chick I've ever seen, like literally tiny!! She's okay though, however! Today, I decided she needed to be with her mum, so I stupidly put her in front of my broody hens, and although one of them was fine.. The other one started almost growling, it's was the weirdest noise, I thought she was gonna attack her but she didn't..
I put her back in the incubator because I was scared but when my dad came back, he put her under the other hens wing and she was fine!! But when she got in front of the other hen (the one that was growling before) she started doing it again!! I've separated the hens now because I really want the chick to be with her mummy... Have I done the right thing? Will the other hen get a hold of her?
I hope this isn't to confusing, I'm not great at explaining things haha..
