Moving chicks in with the big girls

We have a dozen 10 week old chicks that have been in their own coop and enclosed covered run for few weeks now. The run is an addition to a coop and run we already have for 4 grown hens and a rooster. Just wondering when I could remove the fence between the two runs. They seem to be getting along just fine. The chicks are Leghorns and Black Star. I didn't cut a smaller hole in the fence before and now they have gotten so large a small opening would not work to well.

I put the chicks and hens together at week 4! Some hackling will occur, but it makes the chicks hardier. I don't know about mixing chicks that old, though. Try putting them in there under your supervision and see what happens.
