This is first time raising baby chicks. My chicks are 3-1/2 weeks and most of them have gotten a good amount of their feathers--with the exception of one of my light brahmas who still has most of her chick fuzz and very little feathering. My question is twofold...has anyone had a chick who seems to be doing well eating and drinking but not feathering out and my second question is do I move her out into my chicken coop when I move all of the other chicks out? These chicks won't be sharing the coop with any other chicks...they are all the same age just different varieties.

Most are not fully feathered until 7-8 wks and some feather out sooner than others. It depends on where you live, temp? You can move them out now if they have a secure coop but may still need the heat lamp. I put the heat lamp on only at night now because the weather is nice during the days.

My first ones went out in April at 4 weeks, and my last ones are 2 weeks and moved out yesterday with their heat lamp
