I am thinking of moving Cicely and her chicks out to the little area that I put my youngsters from hatchery in for a few hours a day and using a hard sided dog carrier for night time. She is exceptionally aggressive regarding her chicks. She is my spangled oeg bantam that would follow me around, sit on my shoulder, fly to me everytimei walk outside. She had a staggered hatch, she moved off the nest but I had a small incubator going and ready,so the Easter egger sebright cross hatched 3 days later, she accepted willingly. The whole brood is active , eating well, and know mom..they are 6 and 9 days old. The weather is mild,42-75 each day. I included a couple of pictures because.
I know there is an egger×sebright
At least 2 Mille fluer d'uccle x sebright crosses
I think 1 is a sebright, wings different, smaller than the rest, shows a tiny bit of lacing
1 unsure and 1 I think based on head shape and coloring is a sebright x spangled oeg bantam
I included a few pics just because babies are cute..
She has shown them the hidden food in the nesting box, their food and I put some in hay and she showed them to scratch and find it.. she has them perching a bit about 2 inches off the ground and and she has a danger chirp where they run and dive. I guess my question is does this seem the best way to get them back out. I moved her in while still sitting partially do to weather and the flock running her out to lay in her nest
