Hello. I have a flock of year-old hens. I have eighteen, and I am giving away eggs, right and left, because I am too busy to bother with selling them.
Anyway, when I ordered my chicks last year, delivered on May 10th, the hatchery sent me five roosters. I didn't know that, so I traded a buff Orpington for a Cuckoo Maran rooster. I hated to give away five of the roosters, leaving me with only one, but I finally had to because they brutalized my hens badly. The hens are beginning to get new-growth feathers on their backs, and I found a forever home for the roosters with a lady who rescues all kinds of animals.
Is anyone interest in eighteen good layers? I have a mix of golden-laced Wyandotte, silver-laced Wyandotte, black sex link, white leghorn, and Americana.
I am in Tumalo. I don't think moving chickens to Montana is a good plan, and I've also developed a back problem, which makes it hard to care for them. Text me at 541-306-7912.
