In two weeks I will be moving houses, the new house is about a 20 minute drive from where we are now.

Is it a terrible idea to put some eggs in my bator now? And then cover the bator with a blanket when it's time to move?

My partridge layed 8 eggs and sat on them and after 2 weeks she left sitting on them they were babies in it and they were alive
I wasn't prepared for this so I rapped them in a heat pad and after 5 days they started to pip
But.....
Because I didn't have a real incubator I wasn't moving them but that did not affect them in such a near to hatching stage
They died because a heat blanket provided no humidity and so when they pip the membrane dried out and they all died :(
Hope this was relegated to the question

And about transport I've seen this thing that u plug in ur car and in front there is a socket so u can plug any electrical device up to 100 wat in that I used it for laptop chargers etc but I GUSSE u could attach the incubator to that if u find it luckily and move the eggs and make sure they don't get to many Heavy shakes (to prevent any breaking of body) and don't break the shell ur good to go :)

aw I am sorry to hear that! I had a broody leave her eggs right at the two week mark and I was so upset. I didn't find them til the next morning and it was too late :(

I think I am going to try a little experiment.. I am going to bring the incubator up to temp, then unplug it for half an hour with a blanket over it and see what the temp is.
