I shut my birds in their coop the night just before we would move their coop. Try their favorite treats to get them where you want them.

Even if you don't want them in their coop when you move it, if you shut them in the night before when they go to roost then you won't have to chase them around the next day, just pluck them out of the coop.

If you've got a coop over the run this makes me think you could shut them up in there and move it with them inside. Just close it up at night and don't open it up in the morning until after it's been moved.

I'm sure there will be an Armageddon of flapping but it's a one time event and they'll get over it!

What are you going to do to ensure no digging predators make their way in after you move it? You'll need a good secure apron around it in its new spot!
