So, my fiance has all the permits needed to build a shop! The thing is, because of Mazama Pocket Gophers, right where the coop is is the only place we can put it! We are NOT getting rid of our little unicorns (we don't get rid of family!), but I'm terrified because of the coop move. Our current 5 girls get along so well and love and care about each other. I'm scared that after the coop move, we'll have like one mean girl and one outsider and we'll need to build more coops and it'll be a huge mess. How can I prevent this? Will there be a drop in egg production?

I move my chickens all the time. It is very easy. None become bullies and the egg production usually doesn't drop. They will have a fabulous time exploring their new home as well. Can you wait to move them until next weekend and I can get a video of my coop moving to show you? If you can't that's fine, but don't worry about them. They will be fine! Good luck!

If some do become bullies, separate them in a run for a few days. I seriously doubt that this will happen but it is always a possibility.
We are going to do it this coming weekend and my fiances friends are coming over to help us, there's no way i could do anything, and fiance can't do it by himself!

It would be best to be safe rather than sorry! I would do the same with the new area as with the old.
