Moving the nesting boxes and wondering....

Will this cause a problem? I would like to move out my current boxes and replace them with fewer of a slightly different type. Will this disrupt my layers? I don't want my egg production to drop. Thank you.

When I re-did my coop, I replaced my nesting boxes without any interruption in egg production. If you are putting the new boxes in the same spot, you should not have any problems. If you are putting the new boxes in a different location, the chickens will learn quickly!

It might throw them for a day or two...or it might not.

You might find eggs in other places until they can't resist the lure of the new nests......
.......baiting them with fake eggs and/or golf balls will help.
