I'm moving to a house in a few weeks and my plan was to have my hens free range in the backyard. I just found out from the previous owner that they have been using a quarterly lawn company that treats the yard for weeds and fertilizes it. :( How long are these chemicals in the ground? Will my chickens still be able to free range? Very worried..

It depends on the company and what they are using. My property was sprayed with something that is pet/ bird safe so we can free range. Please try to gather that info if possible otherwise you may have to wait a certain amount of time before they can free range. I am interested in finding out more so I will be researching 😊

Thank you! I will call the company and try to find out.
