Moving to Alaska lots of Q's

My dad said there is a 99.999999% chance we are moving to Fairbanks alaska !!

What breeds do well up there ??

How do you set up your coop and keep water from freezing ??

How much is a bag of layer pellets ?

How much did it cost for you to build a coop up there ??

Any laws on how many chickens you can keep on 3 acers ?

Are roosters allowed ??

okay,

1. any breeds can live up here but I reccomend the feather footed variety.
2.the coops are often insulated and you can switch out the water or get a little water heater.
3.I don't buy pellets I makr my own.
4. I bought one for $75 bucks already made off of craigslist. It is 12 square feet.
5. There aren't to many places with covenants saying what you can and can not do and the areas that there are covenants in Fairbanks there is no one who enforces them.
6. Yes, roosters are allowed!
