Moving to Ann Arbor! Can i finally get my choox?

Well it looks like we will be moving outof NYC to Ann Arbor, Michigan this august!

ANY BYCers around there? I would love to pick your brain about living there, finding a place to rent etc. But especially:

I know 4 hens are legal in Ann Arbor, but what's the *feeling* toward chicken people in town? We would be renting a house/duplex/apt in a house, and asking a landlord if i can have chickens.

will my chicken dreams finally become a reality?

Welcome Gingerbeer, I'm glad that you will be getting your long wished for chickens. I live only 30 miles north of Ann Arbor but I'm have no information to offer you about AA proper. However, you should check out the Michigan thread and post on there, it will improve your chances of getting the desired information. If you are going to be in Michigan by June you should plan on attending our Chickenstock. The information about it is in my signature line.

If you're in Lodi, you're not far from Saline and in Saline you can have chickens too.
