Moving to Illinois

Hello, we're considering moving to Illinois to be near our daughter and thinking about someplace around Rockford, Loves Park, Machesney. I found your website during an online search for towns in that area that allow backyard chickens. We'd be newbies as we've not ever raised chickens and are a little disheartened to find that in the towns we've contacted..., they don't allow it (unless you have 15 acres). I don't see a list of towns on the website. How do I find that? I'd appreciate any guidance.

I'm not sure we have a specific list of towns that allow chickens. I think your best bet would be to contact the governing body for each area you are looking at and find out directly. Good luck. I hope things work out for you.
