My chicks have a couple more weeks before the big move, but our temperatures out here are just going up and up. This week we had 3 days of 100 degrees or better..104 one day. My chicks have been in my Air conditioned house in a brooder with a heat lamp, but they Have been moving further away from the heat as they get older. The brides ranges about 75-80 degrees now. Will they survive the move if it’s really hot out?

How old are they?
Why do they need a heat lamp if it is that hot?
They don't self regulate when very small but they can probably handle 100F.

They are still inside my house, with the air conditioner on. Heat lamp is at low temp just to make sure they don’t chill. But they have room to move away from it.

I put my 2 week olds out. My average day temps have been around 90F Nights get a bit colder still around 64F some nights. They pile in a corner and keep warm with each other. There are 10 chicks. They're fine.
I’ve read so much about making sure it’s warm enough outside, but not too much on if it’s too hot out. I will just keep a close watch out and make sure they don’t overheat.
thanks for your response. 👍

Make sure there is a nice little pile of hay, so they can cluster, and hunker down. They should be fine. Night isn't as big a problem as the heat during the day.

Are those normal daytime temps for your area? OR are your temps higher than normal right now because of the Sahara dust cloud? Again, they should be fine, but make sure they can cool off during the day.
