well i just picked up a really nice sportsmans 1502. it is the model that is a few years old. it isnt digital, but it does have the really nice hatcher in the bottom instead of the new plactic tray down there.
Anyway my question is to everyone who uses the sportsman incubators.
At what tome do you candle the eggs? and
Since there are so many eggs indie, what is the best way to candle them?
And finally, i think in the next 2 days, i will have it all setup and everything holding steady...so is it ok to move eggs that have been sitting in my old bator
into the Sportsman?
in my old bator as you can see, the eggs are turned by hand and lay on their sides with the classic " x, o" markings.
Does anyone think moving them will hurt them since they will now be on end? point down of course!!
I have my last 2 peafowl eggs in along with 7 red bourbon turkeys.
I DO NOT want to take the chance of hurting these poor unborns!!!
Thanks Fellow BYC'ers!!
