A few weeeks back I posted images of my 4 month old chicken asking if it was male or female and the responses varied so I was hoping someone could clarify for me

Weird looking bird. Do you know what breed it was sold the you as? Looks like a Black Sex Link cockerel to me.

Got it from a hybrid hatchery, it's a barred rock. I have a year old female if that helps

Pullet. At 4 months there would be much more sign of it being a cockerel.

Doesn't look like a barred Rock to me - either a BR mix, or very poor hatchery quality
