It's only going to mold if it's getting wet or being stored too long. Where are you storing it (indoors, outdoors). I keep mine in metal trashcans outside. The only time I get mold is if the trashcan handle leaks and I don't have the bags folded over properly.

What happens is, when you open the box when it's warm and humid during the day, then the temperature drops at night, condensation will form. That's why I keep most of the feed and scratch grains in the house.
The feed and scratch grains I keep in the storage area of the coop is in a galvanized can that is not air tight. I drilled small holes in the coffee can I use to feed the scratch grains out of, just under the lid for ventilation. GC

Are you dumping the feed in the container or putting the whole bag inside? Either way storing feed in a plastic container, should be fine. I've never had a problem with condensation, in plastic bins. Depending on where you are storing it, you don't want holes in the container, that could be an invitation for rodents.

Place of storage may be an issue. If super humid, or if there are frequent temperature fluctuations, that can lead to condensation. Also important IMO to only buy what you can reasonably use in a short time. I try to use up a bag of feed in a 3 week time span, and never have it be older than 6 weeks past mill date by the time it's used up. I realize that not everyone can do that b/c of flock size. According to a published poultry nutritionist, he states that 6 week old feed is loosing nutrients, and starting to go stale.
