Starting a new thread here because the original is all over the place. Now here we can narrow this down more without oddball guessing going on.

Breed: legbars

Symptoms - birds were not growing at a normal pace first of all. Looking back i did notice this and had no idea why as there were no other symptoms.

4 month old birds.. under size. Birds were not as active as others. Lethargic spell continued to get worse with time. Sitting in one spot, eyes closed, not eating, not drinking, heads would start to hang down, wing would start drooping. Very lethargic.. this would slowly progress over about 3 weeks time. By week three I noticed runny noses. I knew it was respiratory. But didn't know what it was...

Separated birds at the first signs I knew something was going on..

Necropsy confirmed they weren't eating. So with the illness and not eating I expect they basically starved to death food/water wise. Thats why it'd take several weeks..

Ms/MG positive. Im no expert. However this sounds fairly common. Bad bacteria and highly contagious. Birds can be carriers of it spread it to each other, thats why they say separate new birds for a good while. In this case it took 4 months to appear if the chicks i got were carriers. Biosecurity is huge keep your coop clean, dont contract it from someone else and bring it home to your birds.. wild birds carry it. Pretty sure this is how I got it. I can be passed down through eggs too and hatching. Possibly how I got it too.
