I bought these assorted pullets from TSC in march- I also have silkies & modern game bantams in this group.

I have been finding eggs in the last week, everyone in there is getting to egg laying age & i dont know whos laying them-

The hens pictured above are the "assorted pullets" that came from Mt. Healthy hatchery- theyre white with some red flecks throughout them in a random pattern..almost looks like a cuckoo pattern.

The eggs i have been finding are very dark colored, not as dark as copper marans eggs- they are a medium dark reddish brown, some have lots of speckles.

I only want to hatch them if they are silkie or the bantam modern games eggs- but i havent a clue. Also they would be medium sized eggs.

Any clue as to the breed of the tsc chix- that might help with figuring out the egg layer.

The white pullets with red flecks are probably Amberlinks(a hybrid sex-link)- which Mt. Healthy sells. It is one of their best sellers. The eggs are more than likely from those Amberlinks. Being pullets just beginning to lay, the eggs will be a little smaller right now. Later they the eggs will increase in size to large or xl.

Also, Amberlinks lay brown eggs. Most silkies and moderns that I have had experience with lay a cream-to-white egg.
