MUCUS LIKE POOP!

My chicks are around 6 to 7 weeks old and for the first time last night, they slept in their coop. Today, I noticed that there was a bunch of poop that has this weird mucus-like substance surrounding it. It stinks!! And I don't know what to do. HELP!
