Mulch for duck yard?

I've seen several people recommend mulch for flooring in the coop/yard for ducks, but obviously not all mulches are created equal. So my question is, what type of mulch is soft enough for ducks? Also some pictures of the duck yard tenants taken today Thanks!

Shredded hardwood bark works best, but if you can't find something like that, just go with a very fine mulch.
