I have a mostly black muscovy with two small white spots on his wings and and a white bib similar to a black swedish
and I have 3 swedish rouen but look mostly like sedish with a little brown and 2 have slightly orange feet mixes and i want to breed them for a mule but I also have a pekin hen which im 99% sure has black swedish under her and to my understanding when you mix a pekin with a mallard it would be whatever is under the pekin crossed with a mallard? Is it the same when crossing with muscovys since they have differrent genes? I say this so icould get the blackest mule possible with my ducks

Your reasoning makes sense to me, so I would think so. According to Storey’s Guide to Raising Ducks, white in Muscovies is different from that in Mallard derived ducks. White in Muscovies is incompletely dominant so if your Muscovies had it you would see white splashed in the feathers. Since white in Mallard derived ducks is recessive, it takes getting it from mom and dad to get a white duck which is why you usually see what is under the white. So, I suspect all would produce black ducklings. 🤷‍♀️
