I have two huge mullberry trees full of berries and when ripe like now they fall off on to the ground in a thick layer. Does anyone know if geese can eat mullberries? The chickens pig out of them, but its only a matter of time before the geese find them. I just wanted to know so i can either keep them away from them if they arent good for geese or let them have at it as a treat if they arent poison. Any info is appreciated.
Thanks

I hit the wrong button!. All I know is that dogs shouldn't eat mulberries.Luckily my chickens eat them all up. Sometimes I think they catch them in midair!

Mulberries are fine. We have a mulberry tree behind our duck pen that provides shade and when the berries fall off the ducks, geese, chickens do a great job of cleaning up the spoils. You can also use them yourself and make mulberry jellies and jams. Our dogs don't mess with them, but the wild birds get them and then poop them back all over our car when they are ripe!
