Hello! I am a first time incubator. I had placed eggs that my hen had started to incubate and then abandoned. Since then another hen abandoned a clutch at 16 days. I have eggs in one incubator set to hatch at 3 different times. :(. Currently I have one set that will be 21 days tomorrow and I can see that one has internally piped. My question is how do I keep the humidity level where it needs to be for the hatching eggs yet still turn the eggs that need to be rotated daily? I am using an old school styrofoam incubator and rotating by hand. I would appreciate any tips or suggestions!

I've seen a number of folks mention having a separate incubator they deem the "hatcher" and on day 18 (lock down) they move the necessary eggs over, leaving those that still need turning in the original incubator. I've also seen folks who have the eggs that need to be turned on something like a cut egg carton which allows them to turn the eggs faster than having to turn each individually. It's kind of a plug and play thing. You have to figure out which method works for you.

Thanks! I have been trying to get my hands on another incubator but no such luck! I did think about the cut egg carton and will place them on that tomorrow! I just am worries I will not be able to keep the humidity where it needs to be. I need to do more research on misting the eggs to be prepared!
