Multiple eggs from one hen?

One of my hens, the boss gal, has laid two eggs today. Once in the am, and one in the afternoon. I thought she was goin broody, cause she was sitting on empty nest after I took the eggs. The BLAM!

Another egg!

. Is this normal?

Shasta i have had that happen 3-4 times within a year and with just two of my hens, chalk it up to ....there healthy and happy hens

I have the same thing going on. Mine doesn't seem to be broody, though. I thought the same thing as you. Time will tell, I guess.

LOL yes this will happen from time to time, it is baffling when it first happens, then pride set's in.

Yeah, I had that happen only once. I was baffled. But I guess it's normal.
