Murray McMurray Hatchery? Anyone have experience buying chicks?

Hi all! I am considering buying some 4 week old juvenile chicks from Murray McMurray Hatchery and wondered if anyone had experience with them? If so, what was your experience? Was the shipping good? Did you lose any chicks in transit? Are they chicks of good vigor? I would really appreciate any information you can provide. Thanks!

I've only bought day old from them--but they're very good. If you lose a bird within 3 days of receipt make sure to contact them. That said, my day olds had a very low mortality rate.

OK, that is great news! I think I will move forward with the three juveniles I want to order. Sounds like there is WAY less shipping risk than the day-olds cause they dont need supplemental heat. I cannot bear to open another box to dead baby chicks but I want to have around 10 total and need to add them in here soon so they can be part of the establishment of the pecking order! I ordered my first chicks from them, they were day olds. None died in transit but I did lose a couple in the first days and they gave me a refund for the ones that didn't make it.
Now 2 years later and I just ordered another 15 a couple days ago. Can't wait for them to arrive in a couple weeks.

Yay!!!!! Are they coming week of 7/17? That is when my juveniles are now scheduled to ship! Good luck to you and your new babies. I hope they are all healthy and happy upon arrival!!!

I order 4 rare breed chicks and they were only available the week of 7/24, all other weeks were sold out or unavailable, so they will be sending all 16 chicks at the same time. 15 I ordered plus 1 free rare breed chick

I have ordered from them twice. I got day old's. Not a single one arrived dead. They were all strong and vigorous from the get-go.
