These Murray McMurray Hatchery chicks experience their first minutes of being outdoors. You may think that this is a great number of chicks for a coop, and that is right. They will be separated into their own coops as they mature.
I have a heat lamp in the hutch and it is 81 degrees outside now so I will not need a lamp after one more week except for a limited amount of time at night when they are in the hutch to sleep.

It always amazes me that about the first thing chicks do is start pecking on the ground, I mean their whole world just changed and the first thing on their minds is what's for dinner?
That is a nice diverse group of chicks. Did you get an assortment or pick out individual breeds?

I picked 9. The other 15 are from 30 in The Rarest of the Rare Assortment. So you get what they send in that group.
