We have two males and one female. They’ve been raised with our chickens since they were all day olds. All of them came home the same day.

“Doug the Thug” as we call him has been a bully since he was small.
Since moving them outside when they became of age he has been hissing at any of us who go near or into the pen. He bobs his head and keeps his body low to the ground. He takes off when my husband or I go near Him but he has attacked both of my children when my husband and I weren’t in an arms reach.
Is this behaviour repairable? We are heartbroken over his attitude towards all of us as our other two ducks are warm and wonderful (as are the chickens)
This is our first experience with backyard birds and are learning as much as we can as we go.

:welcome Two drakes and one hen is not a good combination as she will be injured by overbreeding. With small children involved, he would have to leave if he were mine.

We had three females up until a week ago. Two were lost to what we think may have been a coyote. They girls being lighter were able to fly out of the enclosure. We’ve clipped our girl who will still have flight feathers and have put a roof on their Enclosure as we lost two hens that day as well.
We have been worried about a dominant factor coming into play now that it’s just the two boys and our girl (Rainbow named by our daughter) being hurt or Big Ron being picked on by Doug the Thug. We really like Big Ron. He’s been the biggest of them all from the day we got him but he’s so sweet.
