Muscovy crosses I hatched this year

Hey all,
Hatched these big guys this year. Well I should say the mother hatched them. She is a white that I got from the meat man up the road. Let her raise her own every year. She's the only muscovy I have so Im thinking a appleyard drake got her this year. Really nice looking ducks! They are moulting out now but they were a pure navy blue color when they were younger.

Mules are often the most lovely ducks! Well in my eyes at least. I love the combnation and never knowing what they are going to turn out like till they feather. Very nice ducks you have there!

Not gonna eat them unless the drakes get to mean with the others. lol Its amazing the variety of colors and body types I get out of the crosses. I guess it all depends on the drake that breeds her. I have rouens, runners, appleyards and crosses of each out there. Ill look for the pics of the few she hatched last year and post them in a few minutes. They dont look anything like this years babies! ALWAYS a surprise!

I totally agree with the beautiful part, but I have 2 ask. Why would anyone want mule ducks?? Aren't they sterile?

yes they are sterile, mostly just for looks or for meat.
