I have several wild Muscovy ducks that live in my backyard area by a pond. I think they are wonderful and I enjoy feeding them. I don't find them to be a nuisance or mean at all. I found three eggs on the side of my house, but it's been at least a month and a half. I never see the duck sit on them and I was surprised there weren't more eggs. Yesterday I discovered one egg missing and one egg broken. Today my husband caught a black bird trying to put the remaining egg in his mouth and, of course, chased the bird. Is there any way that I can protect this egg? I assume it needs to stay there so the duck can sit on it. However, I think it is going to be snatched away anytime now.
