I have 10 Muscovy ducks. of which one is looking off today. There has been no change to feed or water routines. They are locked into a coop at night with deep bedding of shavings, which are cleaned and fluffed daily, and added to as needed.
It has been below freezing here for months. A few days ago it went to +2C and dropped to -20C in 24 hours, and has stayed there.
This female is about 3 years old. She is looking lethargic and has feathers sticking out sideways. She is fluffed up but shivering. They have free access to water and food in their run all day so I don't know if she is eating and drinking. Everyone else seems fine.
I appreciate any advice on what, if anything I should do.

Thanks for responding. I could try and set up something in my basement tomorrow. I'm sure the cats and dog will be thrilled. Do you think a large dog crate would be enough room for a short period? I also have a small cold storage room which might be better as I could see if she has eaten, drank, and pooped.

Yes I use them for hospital when I need to observe someone or treat someone.
I believe if I had your temps I'd offer some heat not alot just enough to get it above the minus mark. When we went down into single digits I did use an oil radiator heater in with my Muscovy because mine are older 14 down to 9 yrs. i was most concerned about my 14 yrs old female. Of course heat is always an issue that is up for debate. So we all should do what we feel is best for our birds. This is the first time I have used heat with mine.
