Muscovy ducks quacking

So I have 10 muscovy ducks that I ordered from CountryHatchery so I know they are pure muscovy ducks. For the most part they will hiss and head bob or the girls will make little noises in their throat but recently the boys have been starting to try and breed the girls and one time when they had grabbed one of the girls I heard a small quack out of her. Is that normal? I thought Scovies couldn't quack?

oh no muscovies can, but only when they are being hurt or get surprised. I got some from there and love them i got 8 but only have 6 left and i ordered chocolate but they gave me blue fawn, but i'm happy none the less because my two blue fawn girls are beautiful! much better than chocolate

I have only heard my females quack. Like buck said only if they are in distress. Usually mine are squabbling when they quack.
