Muscovy hatched

hi , I have a muscovy hen that has been setting on 14 eggs.Ithought that was just to many for one hen to set. I came home from work ,was feeding all the animials,when i got close to her nest I hear pips.she has hatched 13 of 14 eggs. What i would like to know is why we can not do this good with our bators

this is some kind of silkie cross. my wife named him eddie after me. she said we were both gray headed.
