I’m considering getting a couple Muscovy hens to incubate for me. I found some straight run duckling but would probably harvest the males this fall.
My question is what is the meat like on a cross? My hope is to get a self producing meat source, obviously I’d feed them but the ducklings would be for meat.
Anything else I need to know about housing both types together?

Moulard (mulard) is what you would be breeding. The offspring would be sterile, but if your intent is to eat the offspring, that's as far as you would get. I'm not sure about taste, but they are bred for this specific reason.
As far as housing - nothing different is needed for either duck breed. Muscovy can fly and climb if they want.
